BARACK OBAMA SUDDENLY JUMPS LEFT, ENDORSES NATIONAL HEALTHCARE
So it seems Obama is now off the ropes and back in the political ring before the November Midterm Elections. The popular technocrat recently gave a stump speech at the University of Illinois. So he’s finally involved in helping the Democratic leadership stoke voter enthusiasm before the fall elections. If Obama jumps left, who will follow? Depending on who you read, Democrats have a great, mediocre, or slim chance of taking either or both House of Congress. Republican successes with gerrymandering and voter disenfranchisement may have local roots that are just too deep. But this about Obama, suddenly becoming an advocate for national healthcare. In his speech, he called Medicare for All a “good idea.”

TECHNOCRAT NOW SAYS MEDICARE FOR ALL A “GOOD NEW IDEA”
WTF? Here’s the full quote:
So Democrats aren’t just running on good old ideas like a higher minimum wage, they’re running on good new ideas like Medicare for all, giving workers seats on corporate boards, reversing the most egregious corporate tax cuts to make sure college students graduate debt-free.
IRONY AND FRUSTRATION AS OBAMA DOES THE RIGHT THING FOR AMERICA
Look, it’s great that a national figure like Obama is out there saying this. But it’s also really frustrating. Single-payer insurance, which is now perceived thru the delivery of Medicare for All, is NOT a new idea. It’s an old idea. OLD. It’s one of many ideas that have been kicked around for half a century now about how to get most, if not all, Americans access to healthcare. So to have the man wo delivered the ACA or “Obamacare” to suddenly embrace the good idea of Medicare for All is a tough one to take if you know what even recent history is. Obama is the main reason we couldn’t have a conversation about this good idea when he was president. But Obama is also the President who privately promised Big Pharma that there would be no healthcare legislation that would cut into their obscene profits.

OBAMACARE WAS A REPUBLICAN IDEA FROM NIXON, FACT
Obama is the reason why we don’t already have access to a good idea like Medicare for All. So yes, ok, it’s good that he’s saying it. But did you know that “Obamacare” the idea came from the Nixon Administration? I bet you didn’t. The ACA was Nixon’s response (back when Republicans had to actually come up with policy alternatives beyond TAX CUTS) to Ted Kennedy’s almost legislation attempt to create a national healthcare program. So yes, Republicans have been calling the ACA a massive socialist scheme all along. But that “scheme” is the Republican idea to legally require Americans to buy a local product (healthcare). That’s not socialism. That’s bitter, brutal mercenary irony. So if Obama now jumps Left, who will follow?

OBAMA KNOWS WE CAN’T TRUST PELOSI, SCHUMER TO BE PROGRESSIVE
So thanks, Barack, for coming out of the medical supply closet just as your Not Enough healthcare legacy gets dismantled. Medicare for All would possibly be a major turning point for the bottom 99.98% of America’s citizens for the better. We could use some real change we can believe in! So remember, folks. The rot in Washington today isn’t new. It just stinks more. It is good that Obama is out there saying this. But that’s because Pelosi and Schumer can never be progressives. They’re now part of the problem. Even Obama the technocrat sees it now too. Be sure to vote!
Vote. Pay attention. Hold your nose when necessary. Get your friends to vote. Tell them the same. It all really hangs on this election…. Obama the technocrat gets it too….. He’s just not the sort who jumps to the left like this.
