So everyone keeps talking about how we need a vaccine for Covid-19. And, maybe we do. Especially since the United States has dropped every ball that every motley fool has ever tried to juggle. Maybe you just heard about that motorcycle gathering in South Dakota? That alone will create possibly dozens more outbreaks across the country. So, a vaccine it is? And there’s an intense rush across the world to make one. And the U.S government is sponsoring a lot of these efforts here at home. But big pharma Moderna is making their Covid vaccine using your tax dollars. And just that. And whenever, if ever, they get it to market, you will then have to pay for. A lot.

So what’s the deal here? Well, it’s a deal for Moderna. We finance all their efforts. They then sell it to us rubes for 100% profit. Period. And, even better, many of us may be legally required to take it just to go back to work! Or to school, etc. But will the damn thing even be safe? Trump just said that he’s hoping to get a vaccine to market just before the Presidential Election. You can do the math on that one. Do you trust his government to make sure this thing won’t kill or severely disable you? You already know the answer to that question.

But maybe you remember some details of all the anxious reporting and news since March. Early on, health professionals who make vaccines told us that the earliest we could get a safe vaccine was….. Fall of 2021. You know, at least 14 months from now? But here we have Moderna using our money to make a Covid vaccine at our expense. Well, then at our expense again. Because, as always in the last 3 plus year, Trump. Moderna plans to charge $32-37 per dose. So if you think of just New York City, you’re talking some serious money. Like, a quarter of the billion dollars we’re giving them.
When Moderna sells it to the entire nation, we’re talking a captive market. Literally. It’s enough to make you, well, sick.
