Liam Neeson Calls Conor McGregor a “Little Leprechaun”

LIAM NEESON CALLS CONNOR MCGREGOR A LITTLE LEPRECHAUN IN NEW INTERVIEW

Liam Neeson apparently reads a lot of the same news that I do.  But I’ve never heard about him commenting on almost anything outside of interviews he agrees to do when marketing his latest films.  But now he’s found a topic he is happy to chime in on, and in a big way.  He’s not happy at all about all the crazy, stupid and violent antics of Conor McGregor.  And he’s not at all impressed with UFC, or Ultimate Fighting Championship, that has given McGregor his notoriety and success.  His best summary quote on the topic is that McGregor is a “little leprechaun.”

WHILE PROMOTING NEW MOVIE MARLOWE, NEESON SLAMMED UFC IN GENERAL AND MCGREGOR SPECIFICALLY

Neeson made his comments last week in an interview with Men’s Health.  And yes, he was also promoting his new movie, “Marlowe.”  But he sounded off on UFC and how much he hates it.  He considers the entire sport to be like a bar fight.  Sure, he knows the fighters say they do months of training.  But he doesn’t buy it, and thinks the next logical stage of UFC competition will involve hitting the opponent over the head with a beer bottle.  But he really loathes Conor McGregor, that’s for sure.  He says, “that little leprechaun” “gives Ireland a bad name.”

But the UFC is quite the popular sport.  Millions subscribe for every televised fight.  And in 2016 the UFC was bought for an astounding $4 billion.  But that popularity has made life a little too comfortable for Conor McGregor, who has been making quite the list of criminal activity outside of the ring.  There have been the many minor traffic infractions.  That’s not too bad.  But then there were the assault charges in 2018, and also the rape accusation at a Dublin hotel the same year.

Well, for me it’s a no-brainer.  If I’m going to be a fan of an Irish celebrity, I’ll take Liam Neeson any day.  Not in the ring, of course.  He’s 70.  But he’s big!
