FAMILY’S HORROR AS BASEMENT FLOODED WITH 5 INCHES OF ANIMAL BLOOD
So this is pretty much disgusting. I don’t know about you. But I’ve had to deal with domestic floods just a few times in my life. But for me, all of them came from above. And yes, one time it involved a neighbor’s bathroom. That was…. Icky. But it doesn’t compare to what one Iowa family experienced. We’re talking about their basement flooded with animal blood, 5 inches deep. I’m really not sure how I would have handled that. But it wasn’t just animal blood. With the blood came animal tissue, fat, and other stuff from animal remains.

NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR IS A MEAT LOCKER WHO POURED ANIMAL BLOOD DOWN THE DRAIN
Just writing that makes me want to lose my mind. Imagine going to your basement for that six pack of beer. Maybe you don’t even turn the light on! And you find yourself standing in 5 inches of animal blood and… stuff. But turning the light on would then only add to your horror. Try to unsee and smell that! In your home! So how did this happen? Well, the poor Lestinas family lives next door to a meat locker. And that meat locker flushed all that material down a drain. Well, that clearly didn’t work out too well, did it? Something was wrong with the drainage and that animal blood came up into their basement thru its drain!

MEAT LOCKER HAD NO COMMENT ABOUT BASEMENT ANIMAL BLOOD FLOOD UNTIL IT HIT THE NEWS
So this is where it gets even worse for the Lestinas. They had just started to prep selling their home of 10 years! And they had never had an issue (hah, issue) before. Obviously, local officials are investigating. But the meat locker didn’t contact the Lestinas or take any responsibility for the blood flood until it hit the news. So clearly, there will be more to this story. But you can damn betcha that this story can only affect their pending property value. But the Lestinas could certainly make up for that loss in a “bloody” civil case.
