With Possible 2026 Opening, Voyager Station to Be First Space Hotel

VOYAGER STATION SET TO TAKE RESERVATIONS BY 2026, AS FIRST LUXURY SPACE HOTEL

So I have fantasized about space since I first knew it existed.  So, like maybe the age of 4 or 5?  And movies just made the fantasy all the more amazing.  Being an astronaut, or even space explorer, totally eclipsed the desire to be a fireman!  So sure, I don’t actively fantasize about that so much anymore.  Well, until I heard about the soon to be real space hotel that could take reservations as soon as 2026.  No, Seriously!  It’s totally for reals.  The Voyager Station hotel is happening, maybe even on schedule.  Sign me up!

OF ALL THE AMENITIES VOYAGER STATION WILL HAVE, I JUST WANT TO PLAY LOW GRAVITY BASKETBALL

So yes, this will be the first ever space hotel.  Well, a hotel for humans, built by humans, in orbit around our home planet anyway.  But the Voyager Station will offer amenities that no one has ever enjoyed before.  Well, beyond fantasies, anyway.  It will be a luxury hotel, with luxuries you’ve only realized from sci-fi.  Sure, it will have suites and even villas.  There will ba a restaurant (also a space first), a bar, gymnasium and even a venue for entertainment.  But there will also be space walks!  And, my personal favorite, basketball in low-G, or Low Gravity.

IS IT WORTH $5 MILLION TO JOIN THE 5-MILE HIGH CLUB? VOYAGER STATION WILL MAKE THEM COME

So how will it have gravity?  Well, just like in any movie you’ve seen, going all the way back to 2001, A Space Odyssey.  The Voyager Station will be a wheel that rotates in a spin, creating artificial gravity.  So Low-G Basketball will make slam dunks available to almost anyone.  Well, anyone who can make it up the gravity well into orbit safely, anyway.  Well, and there’s the cost.  We don’t’ know what the costs will actually be, but $5 million for a 3-day trip to the heavens sounds likely.

Still, sign me up!  Can you spare any loose change?
