Gas Station Banana Fight Turns Ugly in Pennsylvania

PENNSYLVANIA GAS STATION BANANA FIGHT TOOK AN UGLY TURN FOR THE WORSE, FAST

Have you ever been in a food fight?  I haven’t, and it frankly still feels like a major piece of an unrequited childhood.  When I was a kid, the whole idea sounded like grand, naughty fun.  But when one happened at my high school, I totally missed it.  But I suppose I was grateful I didn’t have to help deal with the cleanup as one of the spatter inducing miscreants.  But a food fight involving bananas at a gas station in Pennsylvania turned ugly, fast.  The banana fight even ended with an arrest and charges!

BANANA FIGHT WAS STUPID CHAOS, UNTIL SOMEONE HIT SOMEONE ELSE IN THE FACE

It happened in Pittsburgh, when a customer inside a Sunoco gas station threw a banana at one of the employees.  As primates like us are wont to do, the employee then threw a banana right back at the inciteful customer.  And as foods fights tend to, the banana fight quickly involved more people, with customers and staff throwing bananas at each other.  So far this sounds like good, not-quite innocent chaotic fun.  Right up until one of the customers hit an employee in the face.  That’s when things escalated just ever so slightly.

BANANA FIGHT WENT OUTSIDE, WITH ONE EMPLOYEE BASHING A CUSTOMER IN THE HEAD WITH PVC PIPE

Another employee, the 26-year-old Yubaraj Budhathoki, then pursued the face hitting customer outside.  That still sounds relatively ok.  Right up until Yubaraj Budhathoki started beating the customer who ran outside in the head with PVC pipe.  For lack of a better term, that’s just bananas.  And to make matters even worse, the PVC to the head customer is in the hospital in critical condition.  That’s why Yubaraj Budhathoki was placed under arrest and is in jail with charges of aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person.  Were it not for the presumptive surveillance footage and other witnesses, I’d have loved to make a defense on “he slipped on a banana peel.”
