NASA is Recruiting Applicants! Do You Want to Be an Astronaut?

NASA IS RECRUITING FOR NEW ASTRONAUTS, AN AMAZING ADVENTURE AWAITS

So I’ve got to say that I never thought I had the wrong degrees. But now, I kind of do. Well, not that my wife would ever let me go into space. Not a chance. But a man can dream, right? But maybe you have the right degrees and don’t have a ton of family commitments yet? Because NASA is recruiting for astronauts. And a LOT of people out there could qualify. But you have to know to apply! The cattle call to space starts in March. That’s when NASA will open up their application portal to be… astronauts.

So if you are interested, the portal is open from 3/3-3/31. Applicants could potentially go to the International Space Station (ISIS). But a lucky few could maybe even go all the way to the moon! But that would be as a part of the Artemis Program. The first thing you need to know is that for the first time ever, these applications will include a 2 hour, online assessment. But to be qualified, you have to be a US citizen for starters. Other NASA recruiting requirements include a Master’s in a STEM field. Think engineering, bio, physical science, computer science or math.

But no, to be an astronaut there’s a little more. You’ve need professional experience in your field, for one. That means no recent college grads, sigh. There are some other details in the recruiting requirements, of course. But let’s not forget the crazy physical applicants have to pass, as well. That is no joke! But if you think you might have All the Right Stuff, take a look. Shoot, even if you don’t, maybe look anyway. I have several times already. But this is the stuff dreams are made of!
