So people love coffee, with cause! And these days almost everyone drinks coffee. Even kids these days. And, well, there’s likely a good reason for that. But rejoice! NESPRESSO COFFEE HAS CAFFEINE, OF COURSE, BUT COCAINE IS ANOTHER STIMULANT ENTIRELY
So the cocoa bean is a natural stimulant, as in: caffeine. And, well, cocaine is also a natural stimulant, though you can’t legally brew it in the morning and put cream in it. Coca Cola, after all, first used a derivative of the coca leaf and later switched to caffeine for some reason. But they kept the name! Yet workers at the Nespresso factory in Romont, Switzerland, were a little surprised when a giant container from Brazil had cocaine in it. Like, a LOT of cocaine. If you remember your TV shows and movies, you’ll think of one of those big bricks of drugs as a kilo. So yeah, 500 of those.

NESPRESSO COCAINE SHIPMENT HAS A STREET VALUE OF $53 MILLION, ONE PRICEY ESPRESSO
The Nespresso workers quickly called the cops who made a full (500) accounting. Fortunately, none of the coffee capsules ended up with any cocaine contamination. Or, depending on your habits, not so fortunately? Regardless, the 500 kilos of cocaine were 80% pure. Which is very, very pure. Authorities estimate that the street value of the cache was about $53 million. But considering that someone intentionally put that cocaine in the shipment, it’s safe to say that same someone may be looking for another job. Or identity. Because they totally failed at intercepting it before it arrived at Nespresso.
