STEEL BARRICADES HAVE BEEN DELIVERED TO THE MANHATTAN CRIMINAL COURT BUILDING FOR TRUMP?
It’s now just the second business day of the week and we’re still waiting to hear if the orange man, aka, Donald Trump, will be formally indicted, arrested, fingerprinted, mugshot taken and arraigned. Any minute now! But the speculation that this will happen is beginning to feel surreal. It’s almost as if all the drama of several years is making the ever so proximate next step feel to be still unrealizable. Or is it? Because this just happened: steel barricades were just delivered outside the Manhattan Criminal Court. The kind you see for crowd control at parades and the like. Or maybe leading to a slaughterhouse.

WAITING FOR TRUMP TO FINALLY BE ARRESTED SEEMS TO BE ENDLESS, DO STEEL BARRICADES MEAN IT’S HAPPENING?
At this point I’m really, utterly, and absolutely tired of waiting for Godot. And I realize that this topic of Donald Trump finally getting somewhat hoisted by his own petard is a topic that I can’t ignore. And that means I keep looking to the media for answers. So I keep kicking that damn football, Charlie Brown. But it really does seem to be that this will happen, and soon. The steel barricades are a pretty solid indicator that the NYPD has some idea that they really do need to prepare for the spectacle of a former president getting arrested. Somehow, it’s never happened before.

Trump, for his part, has already called on his supporters to protest his legal jeopardy. And yes, that tongue in cheek call to action does seem more than passing similar to his call to action right before the Capitol Riot. As I recall, there were steel barricades outside the Capitol, as well. But a recent protest outside the Manhattan Criminal Court by the New York Young Republican Club Drew only about 50 people. They say it was small by design, which I don’t recall Napoleon every saying. But regardless, I’m still sitting here hearing the tick tock of the clock as time goes by, steel barricades or no steel barricades.
