FOX NEWS NOW DECLARES THAT LIBERALS NOW GOING TO WAR AGAINST WASHING MACHINES
Boy howdy, Fox News just can’t get enough of their culture wars! I mean, their supposed culture wars! It’s almost like the sky is falling over and over again. But chicken little’s audience is addicted to the chronic panic inducement. Because this “news” still sells, to a sucker market inured to common sense, reality and their lying eyes. And now? Now those damn liberals are going to war on washing machines! And here you thought the liberal war on gas stoves was the end. So what’s at stake here? Not much, really. So why is Fox News saying this now? Because the Biden Administration may have talked about making them more efficient.

EFFICIENCY IS THE NEW BOOGEYMAN, AND EFFICIENT MACHINES THAT WASH YOUR CLOTHES A STEP TOO FAR
Efficient? Isn’t that sort of similar to the war on gas stoves? Why, yes it is. Except that with gas stoves, that efficiency would also help with preventing our gas stoves from poisoning us with emissions that could have been ended decades ago. But efficiency is the new Fox News boogeyman. Or, at least, they are effectively programming their viewers with the idea that efficiency is threatening. Fox News Doocy exclaimed, “Critics says President Biden’s new energy plan would make each washing cycle take longer, make detergent more expensive and leave your clothes dirtier because they use less water.”

CRITICS OF WASHING MACHINE EFFICIENCY SEEM TO ONLY BE WASHING MACHINE LOBBYISTS
Say what? Which critics? Where’s the data to back up these anonymous claims? Or are these critics maybe the companies that make washing machines? It’s hard to know, given the nature of anonymous and all. Except maybe not that anonymous, as the critics are The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers. Or, as might be simpler to put here, washing machine lobbyists. Updating washing machines for efficiency would impact stock prices, if only by a red cent or two.
Too bad this washing machine news isn’t about the federal government making the copyrights to a sonic washing machine in the public domain. It’s only existed for nearly 40 years now. No detergent. 80% less water. One tenth of the wear and tear on fabrics. A fraction of the power needed. And no one knows they exist….
