SASHA BARON COHEN REVEALS HE NEVER AIRED THE MOST WORST FROM HIS SHOW
So Sasha Baron Cohen has this great show on Showtime. You may already have heard of it, Who Is America? It is (?) or isn’t all done. We don’t really know yet. But Cohen is doing some interviews like it really is finished. So namely, he recently did an interview with Deadline and talked about how the show didn’t actually include some of the worst things he captured on camera. I mean, when your production team contacts law enforcement, it must have been pretty bad.
COHEN MUST HAVE A LOT OF AMAZING ALMOST STORIES WE’LL JUST HAVE TO WAIT FOR
For sure, Cohen didn’t just talk about the crazy bad stuff. He also talked about the crazy zany ideas they had, like faking out Dick Cheney with an actually real story they got from the show’s weapons consultant from Israel. There was also when a clever official from the White House just managed to save Ben Caron from chatting on camera about Shopkins. Damn, but that would have been funny. I can only imagine what Cohen will clue us in on in another decade or so. As many giant fish that he’s hooked, there have to be some amazers that got away.
BUT THE MOST WORST IS JUST FOR THE FBI TO SEE, THANKS TO COHEN
But one piece was of the most worst sort. It would have to be for it to never go on air. But even more so for Cohen to send the tape to the FBI. So what was it? Sasha Baron Cohen was playing his character Gio Monaldo. Gio is a fixer who is suppose do be a go between for rich and powerful people. You know, like that other Cohen, but better. So Gio interviewed a Vegas concierge and essentially copped to supposedly molesting an 8-year-old boy. But the concierge didn’t leave, outraged. He talked about how to get a lawyer to “silence” the boy. But only after explaining that he couldn’t just be killed in the US. Then, when Gio wanted to celebrate and needed a date, the concierge said he had a contact who could find him a date, with an underage boy.
That’s pretty dark. I’m happy the FBI got to watch it and not us.
