MOST LIKELY VOTERS IN AMERICA THINK THE FBI AND DOJ LIED ABOUT EPSTEIN
Whoever would have thought that the conspiracy laden MAGA world would ever become a snake in the grass for… Republicans? But perhaps Republicans is too general a term, as the distinctions for this topically are still coalescing. But it’s clear that the salability of conspiracies to motivate voters in the rightwing (and the vaguely “independent”) has become a double-edged gift. Because a large number of Trump voters are suddenly very, very angry about the utter lack of any “there” there when it comes to the government -in this case the DOJ under Trump and the FBI- saying there’s no more smoke, and definitely no fire, in the Jeffrey Epstein saga. In fact, a new Rasmussen Reports poll found that a majority of likely voters think the government has lied.

WAS THERE REALLY NO EPSTEIN CLIENT LIST, AND DID HE REALLY COMMIT SUICIDE IN JAIL?
It’s fairly staggering news, because we’re talking about 56% of likely voters. That’s a lot more people than the MAGA bloc. So what do they believe the FBI and DOJ lied about the Epstein saga? Two things, which I happen to have some dubious thoughts about myself. For one, that Epstein actually committed suicide, in a jail, while in custody, while supposedly being monitored by authorities. And the second? That there is no Epstein client list in existence. In other words, authorities have no idea whatsoever who may have taken illegal sexual liberties with underaged women.

DUBIOUS LIKELY VOTERS, INCLUDING MAGA, COULD BE SERIOUS TROUBLE FOR REPUBLICANS, TRUMP
And I’ve got to say, as conspiracies go, this one has all the perfect ingredients to keep going on, and on, and on. Because the more the government denies there’s anymore “there” there, the more convincing it is that they must be lying. And it doesn’t help the MAGA world to be told off by Trump to essentially get over it, and to focus on other conspiracies that Trump is currently selling. Even worse, only 21% of likely voters think the government is telling the truth. And the remaining 23%? They’re “unsure.”
