HUCKABEE SANDERS BURNED ON TWITTER BY JIM CARREY PORTRAIT
Jim Carrey is famous for a storied and very funny career on television and in films. But Carrey has another talent that he has devoted a lot of time to in recent years. He paints quite well and has a studio where he can express himself on canvas with a different medium. But Carrey is under fire from conservative quarters. They didn’t like him painting a portrait that strongly resembles the White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Of course, other quarters are celebrating his political satire with unabated breath. But as public burns go, Carrey burned her well and good.
CARREY DOES TWO BIRDS WITH ONE STONE WITH MOCKING TRUMPIAN QUOTE
The storm started in response to Carrey tweeting a picture of the portrait with this amazing and powerful quote, “This is a painting of a so-called Christian whose only purpose in life is to lie for the wicked. Monstrous!” While the painting and released tweet seem to take quite strong burn of Huckabee Sanders, the tweet also seems to mockingly mimic another personality too. Doesn’t it sound like something Trump would Tweet out in the midnight hours, while possible sitting on the porcelain throne? We all need late-night catharsis, right? It just feels good to get it out, even on Twitter.

CONSERVATIVES, SARAH’S DADDY COME OUT AS HARSH ART CRITICS
Some of the negative responses on Twitter called Carrey sexist and a bully. One personal response came from Mike Huckabee, the former governor of Arkansas and presidential candidate. But he’s also Sarah’s father. He tweeted that Carrey is a “Pathetic BULLY, sexist, hater, bigot & ‘Christaphobe.’” While I don’t know about that, I do know that pretty much everyone in the empirical world seems to recognize that Sarah Huckabee Sanders is, at best, a serial liar. At worst she might be described as a professional demagogue, banana republic style.
CARREY ADDS ANOTHER BURN TO HIS ARTISTIC REPERTOIRE
Carrey started painting six years ago to help him heal a broken heart. But since this past November, most of his work has been political satire. He’s done portraits of Rick Gates as well as Sen. Marco Rubio. So far Carrey’s spokewoman confirmed the painting is his, but not that it is a portrait of Sanders. But regardless of where art critics may find themselves in reaction to this painting, I’d like to remind everyone of Carrey’s greatest political satire in recent years, Cold Dead Hand. Carrey has burned some people in epic funny fashion. His targets all seem to live in glass houses.
