EATING RAW SUSHI CAN BITE YOU IN THE GUT
Sushi is a fan favorite for many in all over the world. Weekends out with friends often includes sushi for most people. Many cities have a lot of sushi restaurants. That variety gives sushi lovers a lot of amazing sushi to choose from. But is it too risky to eat? Recently, doctors pulled a five-and-a-half-foot parasitic tapeworm out of a man’s body. He got that from eating way too much raw sushi. Just because you love your kamikaze rolls, doesn’t mean you should go be a kamikaze with your health. Some of the health risks and dangers of eating sushi are mercury poisoning, parasites including tapeworms, listeria, salmonella poisoning, scombroid food poisoning. There’s also exposure to man-made toxins from eating sushi. It’s all kind of crazy.
DANGERS OF MERCURY POISONING FROM EATING FISH
Mercury poisoning has been a hot topic this past decade, especially with all the vaccination injuries that keep happening. But mercury poison from raw fish? Yes indeed. Eating a lot of ocean fish that are higher in the food chain, like tuna or yellowtail, can unfortunately lead to mercury poisoning. And mercury poisoning can lead to all sorts of complications. These include memory problems, muscle weakness, numbness and tingling, tremors and irritability. Mercury poisoning is bad, bad news. But if you eat fish, you’re also eating mercury.

Parasites are a nightmare to have to deal with. But apparently, a large portion of society lives with parasites all the time. There have been numerous cases of people having parasites due to eating sushi. These parasites attach themselves to the intestines and stomach and live there. They eat whatever food you eat. This can cause acute abdominal pain and other hellish symptoms. Do you take vitamins? If you have a parasite, they eat your vitamins from inside you. It’s pretty disgusting and disturbing. They steal vital nutrients from right under your nose. Well, and your naval.

Contaminated food can cause a grave infection called listeria. It can seriously wreak havoc on your gut. In that way it’s similar to parasites. But listeria is especially harmful to pregnant women. Salmonella is another very dangerous food-borne illness. It has also been linked to eating raw sushi. Scrombroid food poisoning is another scary illness, killing your stomach and gut, just like the parasites. Exposure to man-made toxins is significant in raw sushi. That’s especially true if pesticides have been used to raise the “farm fish.”
SUSHI: WORTH THE RISK?
But you can always enjoy sushi. Just maybe consider not eating raw sushi. Or you can try vegetarian sushi. Otherwise, good luck with that rainbow roll! The dangers otherwise are very real. Raw sushi can taste amazing. But there are now so many risks to eating it often, or at all. Is it worth the risk? You’ll have to decide.
