So I’m not young. But I’m not ancient, either. Yet I still haven’t remembered to look up how to make a successful business using social media. A friend’s nephew started earning 5 figures a year when he was 15 years old, on Instagram. Yes, before Facebook bought it and killed all the remaining options to build a fast following. But damn. 15? He paid for his own college before he even got there by himself! I thought that was impressive. But Ryan Kaji has left my ide of impressive way in the dust. He’s 9 years old. 9! And he just earned the top spot as the most paid person on YouTube.

WHAT DOES THE TOP OF YOUTUBE MEAN FOR 9-YEAR-OLD? JUST $25.5 MILLION!
So what are we talking about here? Well, a LOT of money. So how much? Well, Kaji made $25.5 million from his YouTube income all by itself. Yes, that’s a LOT of cheddar for any age. But 9? SMDH. And wow. It was Forbes Magazine, of course, who laid out the YouTube top list with Ryan Kaji at the top. I don’t really know the other names there. Well, except for Blippi. Don’t worry, if you want to know who that is, just have kids. Then, you’ll never be able to forget him. But Blippi only came in at number 8 on the Top Ten List, bringing in a humble…. $17 million.

But Blippi, of course, has been doing this for a while. His net worth must be insane. But young Ryan Kaji is set to sail far grander oceans, if that’s even possible. Kaji simply posts videos of himself unboxing toys, with his own inimitable style. And that, is how he made the whopping $25.5 million this year. But Ryan Kaji has more, much more. He also made up to $200 million from his own store, Ryan’s World branded toys and clothing. Aaaand, there’s his contract with Nickelodeon for his own TV show series. So if you guess even a little, if Ryan keeps up this pace, he’ll be a billionaire before he’s even 13 years old.
