MOM NOT WATCHING, BOY LURED BY TOY AND PURSUES GETTING IT
A claw machine is large and has lots of inexpensive toys to lure little ones into spending their coins. We often find claw machines at bowling alleys, game rooms, some restaurants and malls. One child in Florida was so eager to get a stuffed toy that he decided to crawl in through an opening while his mom wasn’t watching. Kids do silly things and when they have their eye on a prize, you’ve got to have eyes in the back of your head. This time the claw machine at a Beef ‘O’ Brady’s lured a child into its box of toys, with no way out, except for a cry for help. He just couldn’t get out.
CLAW MACHINE OFTEN HAS A BIG OPENING FOR THE TOYS TO COME OUT BUT DIFFICULT TO GET OUT
Smart to get it, but not smart enough to get out. The little boy, named Mason, really wanted a stuffed toy. He wanted it so badly. But he knew he would never win and didn’t have the patience to beg his mom to help him. So, the socially deviant side of him (like all little kids) decided to take the easy route and he just climbed in. He got the toy and another toy for his friend from the claw machine. But what he didn’t plan on was being able to out. He is about 5 years old and pretty big for his age. But like a mouse, he seemed capable of squeezing into tight places. The battalion chief who came to his rescue explained that, “He went in, but obviously he couldn’t come back out the same way”.

Mason wasn’t in the claw machine for long before his rescuers came. His mom called 911 and they arrived in a matter of minutes. His mom was very concerned that he had little oxygen in the small box and couldn’t breathe. The rescuers came quickly and were able to rescue him in a matter of minutes. They understood the mechanisms in the claw machine and were able to disable it in a matter of minutes. The boy is fine, and even walked away with two toys. There may be a bit of controversy about that. The claw machine was undamaged. And his mom assures everyone that he won’t be lured again by a claw machine. (even though this was the second time this has happened)
