If you’re not a racist conservative (even if you don’t think you are either never mind both), it’s almost impossible to support ICE’s current program going after illegal immigrants with essentially no oversight. Because racism is, unfortunately, the defining platform for the entire idea. And that racism combined with enabled authoritarianism isn’t translating well on a human and legal level for both people with variously illegal status and the innocent. Yet this latest example of the latter being victimized is setting the bar even lower. Because Border Patrol in Los Angeles just literally terrorized an innocent, disabled teen outside a local high school.

INNOCENT, DISABLED TEEN WAS JUST SITTING IN HIS MOTHER’S CAR NEAR SCHOOL

The innocent, disabled teen was 15-year-old Baldemar Gutierrez, who was just sitting in his mother’s car near Arleta High School. That’s it, he was sitting in a car near a school. But as you can tell from his name, he inevitably appears to be Latino. And as far as Border Patrol is concerned, that makes someone suspicious. Which is, of course, a long-term problem with law enforcement in general in terms of “mistaken identity.” Because this time Border Patrol jumped out of a truck with masks on, pointed their guns at the innocent, disabled teen, and screamed questions at him about someone he’d never met.

BORDER PATROL DIDN’T APOLOGIZE TO TERRORIZED TEEN, AND LEFT LIVE ROUNDS ALL AROUND SCHOOL GROUNDS

Gutierrez has both speech and hearing disabilities, so you can imagine there was some confusion and terror for him in having masked armed men screaming questions at him while assuming he was a member of the MS-13 gang. After terrorizing the innocent, disabled teen the Border Patrol agents finally realized their error. Did they apologize? Not exactly. One agent told him, “Look at the bright side: You’re going to have an exciting story to tell your friends!” And lastly, these American Border Patrol “patriots” literally left bullets (live rounds!) all over the grounds of the high school campus.

Instead of cleaning up their bullets, they said district police could get them and use them for “target practice.”
