What Not to Write To Do Lists On?  Classified Documents

IT SEEMS TEFLON DON USED TO WRITE TO DO LISTS ON THE BACK OF CLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS

Pretty much everyone who gets anything done uses To Do Lists.  I certainly use them.  But not near enough as I should.  They’re a great way to visualize what needs to be done, contextualize priorities, and hopefully not leave a necessary item fallen thru the cracks.  People tend to write them anywhere, though smart phones should have revolutionized that by now (doubtful, however).  People also use them to delegate work to underlings, which also makes sense.  They tend to write them on whatever is available.  But one place you should never, ever use to write your To Do lists on?  Classified documents.

TRUMP WOULD USE CLASSIFIED DOCS AS SCRATCH PADS TO HAND WORK TO HIS ASSISTANT

Yet somehow the obviousness of this was lost on former POTUS Donald Trump.  But to be fair, there were reports he was also using classified documents as toilet paper, though that could be a loose interpretation.  Yet now we are hearing from Trump’s long-time assistant, Molly Michael, that Trump would use classified docs as scratch pads, which he would then hand off to her.  How does she know?  Well, it’s hard to miss the bold red markings of “Classified” when your boss hands them to you.  And yes, you can be pretty sure all of these To Do lists on classified docs Trump handed off didn’t make their way back into the hands of the FBI when they searched for them at Mar-a-Lago.

TRUMP’S ASSISTANT GAVE TO DO SCRATCH LISTS AS REPURPOSED GOV’T DOCS TO FBI

So what were these classified docs Trump used as scratch cards to hand his assistant To Do lists?  Oh, not much.  Just sensitive White House materials given to Trump as briefings about phone calls with other foreign leaders, and other international matters.  You know, marked Top Secret so there are no misunderstandings.  Fortunately, Molly Michael fond them a day after the FBI’s search for classified documents, which she then handed over to authorities.  To be fair, the FBI missed them when they conducted their search.  But I’m guessing they just saw Trump’s small-hand handwriting and neglected to see the important red stamps on the other side.

I’m sure there’s more to come about this and everything related to jeopardizing national security.  You know, by Trump.
