YOU THINK WORKING OUT IS HARD? STOP BEING A BABY

You are not special. Everyone struggles to actually get themselves to the gym. So stop being a baby and figure it out. Find out what works for you, what makes you excited, what feels “worth it,” and then GET UP AND GO DO IT! Come on. Do it. It will make you live longer. Science said so.  Exercising is hard. It is, I’m not saying it’s easy. Because it’s not. But it is actually a SUPER important thing to work into your weekly routine. Not only does it make you live longer (as previously mentioned), but it also helps you sleep better, gives you more energy, makes you feel better about yourself and therefore more confident, which then makes you better in bed. It is a literal panacea and we are stupid enough to ignore it, put it off, whine about it and go to a happy hour instead of one stinking Zumba class. Stop being a baby and figure out what works for you.

Here are some things that might help:

  1. Pull it together. You can do it. Lots of people exercise and it’s not just those super “active” types. Normal like us do it to. So find what is FUN for you. Maybe it’s not the gym. Maybe it’s a dance class. Maybe it’s a martial art. Maybe it’s just running around the block a few times or running continuously for the subway. Whatever it is, if you like it, it will motivate you. I promise.
  2. Have attainable goals. This goes for basically everything in your whole life, but it is ESPECIALLY important when it comes to working out. If you set too lofty of a goal right off the bat, you are bound to fail. And if you fail you will feel bad, and if you feel bad you won’t exercise. It’s basically a self-fulfilling prophecy. But if you set super low goal, super ATTAINABLE goals, you will probably reach them. And that would feel nice. Or you might even surpass them. And that would feel great.
  3. Make it a part of your lifestyle. Working out is not something you can do for a little while (like right before bikini-season) and then quit. Exercise should be a constant. That is the only way for its actual benefits to manifest themselves. So work it into your life, the fabric of your life, so you can’t live without it. Then you will be on your way to better health, better sleep, better sex, and a better life.

Oh, and, stop fucking complaining. It’s really getting on my nerves. YOU’RE WELCOME.
