Police Charge Virginia Woman With Murder, Decapitated Man

VIRGINIA WOMAN DECAPITATED MAN WITH KNIFE

This is one of those stories that’s hard to wrap your mind around.  Authorities have charged a Virginia woman for killing a man from West Virginia.  While that sounds like a weird battle of the Virginias, it’s much weirder than that.  For starters, someone decapitated the man.  His name was Bo White.  Someone found the 29-year-old’s body on Easter Sunday at his home near Lerona.  His head was found in the woods.  According to court documents, we now know that 41-year-old Roena Cheryl Mills was the woman authorities charged in Bo White’s 2nd-degree murder.  No one is surprised at the police charge.

VIRGINIA WOMAN COVERED IN BLOOD, GIVES POLICE FAKE NAME

The criminal complaint offers the details.  Mills was in the woods.  She had blood all over her.  Mills had a pocket knife in her pants.  She then arrived at someone else’s home, covered in blood with the knife.  The people who lived there called police.  But that was after they offered her a ride anywhere and she refused to leave.  After police arrived, Mills gave a sheriff’s deputy a fake name.  She also told him that someone threw her through a glass door.  But she wouldn’t identify who allegedly did that to her.  Nothing fishy there, right?

SHE WANTED TO GO BACK FOR HER HEADS WHEN TAKEN IN

But this is when the macabre scenario got even darker.  As police were taking her in to be questioned, she then told them, “you have to take me back and let me get my heads.”  Say what?  Heads, plural?  Mills didn’t do much to hide evidence of the crime.  She had one glove on her left hand.  But police found the glove for her right hand in White’s bedroom.  Surprising no one at this point, both gloves had White’s blood all over them.  Where’s Mark Furhman when you need him?

CAUSE OF DEATH UNKNOWN, LOSING HEAD NOT HELPFUL

So far, investigators have only confirmed that White and Mills knew each other.  So far they haven’t commented on what the motive might have been.  It’s even still not clear what caused White’s death.  But obviously, losing his head didn’t help.  Authorities will conduct an autopsy soon and answer some of those questions.  We still don’t know if he was dead before she decapitated him.  For now, authorities are holding the Virginia woman on a cash bond of $210,000.  She is in the Southern Regional Jail.  There’s no word yet on which attorney is willing to represent her.
