SUSPICIOUS CARS STOPPED BY SEVILLE POLICE, ORANGES EVERYWHERE
Orange you glad that police stops are so often beyond weird? Seville, Spain was the scene of this story. Seville police were out and about, doing whatever they normally do on patrol. But then they saw two cars driving really close together. Like, practically in formation. They found the driving behavior to be just a bit suspicious, so they approached them to pull them over. But these cars didn’t want to get pulled over and they took off. Suspicions confirmed, the police pursued. After a brief chase on a dirt road, the police managed to pull them over. But that’s when the fun started. When they approached the vehicles, they found them packed with oranges. And by packed, it means overflowing and falling out of the car packed with the fruit.
VEHICLES WERE OVERFLOWING WITH ORANGES, FOUR TONS OF THEM
After an investigation, the police later found a truck. The truck was also packed with an orange two. Make that thousands more. While this whole scenario seems fishy, let’s be glad for the police that all these vehicles weren’t filled with fish? That’s happened before, multiple times. Fish is expensive! But anyway, in total the police found a total of four tons of oranges. That’s more than 8,000 pounds! That’s a lot of orange peels. Well, ok, maybe not enough to make a reference to Trading Places, but a lot of oranges.
ORANGES, FELL OFF A TRUCK, IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN
So the drivers, as you might guess, had a ridiculous story. The police didn’t believe it. Here’s why. The drivers said that they had been driving from very far way. So they decided to just collect oranges as they drove. Four tons of them. Even though the police didn’t yet know the truth, they didn’t buy it. The orange balls of fruit were overflowing from the cars, after all. I wonder if you squeeze a suspect if you can juice them for all they’re worth? But police later discovered that a large shipment of oranges had been stolen. These idiots would likely have gotten away with the deed had they not appeared so obviously suspicious on the road. Police charged the five with theft. They were a pair of brothers, a couple and their adult son.
