BARBER TRAINED IN EYELID SHAVE
The sixty-two-year-old, Xiong Gaowu, trained in eyelid shaves back in the eighties. He skillfully scrapes a straight razor along the inside of his customer’s eyelid. NOT DANGEROUS, JUST NEED CLEAN TOOLS
But is this dangerous? Xiong Gaowu’s customers feel that it is not dangerous at all. They always feel very refreshed after a shaving. And, this barber charges a mere twelve dollars per shave. He found the training and practice very challenging in the beginning. But it became a piece of cake after several years of shaving people’s eyelids. He shaves the eyelids with a silver stick. By doing so, he is helping to unblock moisturizing sebaceous glands along the rim of the eyelid.
OPHTALMOLOGIST EXPLAINS HOW CUSTOMERS FEEL
An ophthalmologist from a nearby hospital in Chengdu explains that patients often feel that their eyelids are dry and uncomfortable once the glands are unblocked because he is shaving the opening of the glands. Most customers insist their eyes feel better, but cringe when watching the barber shave other people’s eyelids. If you decide to shave your eyelids, make sure you find an expert barber like Xiong Gaowu. You want to make sure the person who performs the shaving has sterilized tools. After all, you don’t want to lose an eye.
