DHS SENDS OUT LETTER TO UNPAID FEDERAL WORKERS CREDITORS ASKING FOR MERCY, AGAIN
So I’m really not sure just how far down the rabbit hole we all are. But when the POTUS defines countries as shithole or not shithole, you’re pretty far down the…. rabbit hole. As we all know, the government is shutdown right now. But it likely will remain so until newly the new Democratic majority takes over Congress shortly. Why are is the government shutdown? So the obvious answer is Donald Trump, even though many Republican figures are carrying very dirty water for him right now. But this shutdown has a huge impact on unpaid federal employees. You know, hardworking Americans? But a letter just popped out of the rabbit hole from the Department of Homeland Security, DHS, to their unpaid workers’ creditors asking for mercy.

TAKE PITY ON THESE GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES WORKING FOR TRUMP GOV, PLEASE
So that’s pretty astounding. Especially since we have removed any protections we can for Americans in debt in recent years. But this really happened. It’s real. The DHS wrote a “to whom it may concern” letter for their unpaid employees to give to any of their creditors. That includes credit card, companies, banks, etc. The letter literally asks creditors to take pity on these unpaid workers while they are not getting paid. It closes with this line, thanking them “for your patience and compassion towards our employees during this time.”

Oddly, it seems this has happened before! This is the very same letter the DHS sent out back in 2013. That’s when we had the Ted Cruz and the freaky House Freedom Caucus government shutdown. But it gets even worse these days. Trump recently suggested the Dems better build his wall or those mostly Dem federal workers will never get paid. But it gets even worse! The government suggested that the 800,000 workers who aren’t getting paid to barter, beg or get a lawyer if they can’t pay their rent. We truly live in a gilded era of assholes. The list is getting long.
