WHY WOULD THE U.S. SUDDENLY CUT SECURITY AID TO RUSSIA’S WESTERN NEIGHBORS?
Recently, a European leader made it a point to talk about how he thought Donald Trump was a Russian asset. So much so, that he clarified the distinction between what an asset and agent are. An agent, of course, is actively aware of who they are representing. An asset could literally be witless, or unaware that they are working in someone else’s interests. But when it comes to Trump and Russia (or Putin, really), I’m starting to really have a hard time perceiving the distinction at all. Perhaps the distinction is merely topical. But this past week we learned that the U.S. is cutting security aid to the countries that are Russia’s western neighbors.

SECURITY AID CUT ANNOUNCED THE DAY AFTER THE LEADERS OF CHINA, NORTH KOREA AND CHINA MET
Now why in the world would we do that? And why in the world would we do that literally one day after the meeting between the leaders of China, North Korea, and…. Russia? Because cutting (or really ending) aid in this case means the funding for security assistance programs for Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania. If you’re an American, you probably don’t know the geography that makes this relevant. The 3 countries that are Russia’s western neighbors are stacked on top of each other, with Lithuania at the bottom. Lithuania also borders Belarus and Poland. So why should you care?

IT SEEMS ALMOST AS IF TRUMP IS GREASING THE WHEELS OF WORLD WAR III
Bear with me here. After Trump showed complete subservience to Putin instead of ending the Russian invasion of Ukraine, one of the things that became clear was that Ukraine would have to literally let its invaders annex a major portion of the country. And that portion would literally make a very handy path to invade…. Europe. And if Russia was able to also annex the 3 countries on its Western border, that path gets literally and strategically more significant. So why would the U.S. cut security aid to Russia’s western neighbors now? Especially right after North Korea, China and Russia held a leadership summit?
It’s almost as if Trump is greasing the wheels of World War III.
