What does Rihanna eat? We all want to know. Maybe it has something to do with her absurd level of hotness. It’s possible, right? Maybe if you eat what she does, some of that will rub off on you. Well, it’s a dream, anyway. Rihanna is known to have some snack foibles in the dressing room. She loves Oreos and gummy bears when she’s working. It’s power snacks! But when she’s home and not on the road, it’s a totally different story. She stays true to her heritage and island roots for home meals. That means Caribbean food! And a super talented Jamaican chef.

Until fairly recently, Rihanna had never dabbled with having a personal chef. But that changed when she met Debbie Solomon. Solomon is from Jamaica. The Jamaican chef wowed Rihanna with her curried chicken. It’s paired with plantains, rice, peas, lanb shank and a paste carbonara. That sounds like heaven on a plate! But that meal landed her the gig as Rihanna’s personal chef. Now, what does Rihanna eat? Whatever Solomon cooks her for every meal. And that includes snacks late at night! It sounds like a dream job and a perfect pairing of the two.

So what foods does Rihanna ask for? Well, she came up eating both Barbadian and Guyanese food. So Solomon reached out to RiRi’s mom to learn how the foods were made in her childhood home. According to Solomon, “It was just, like, her mom coming up and saying, ‘This is how we make it.’” So fully informed of these Caribbean food styles, Solomon is always properly prepared with onion and garlic granules, five-spice, cumin seeds, curry, Maggi bouillon seasoning cubes, adobo and Old Bay. These spices are on “every protein that you can think of that [Rihanna] eats.” But that’s also true for all veggies, rice and pastas.

But let’s not forget! These spices are body friendly. They are healthy to eat. They also add great flavors without more calories. But, RiRi is still a moody eater. That means Solomon can’t meal plan a week ahead. It’s day to day. But that also means it’s always, always fresh.
