Mastermind Signs Name to Note in Bank Robbery

CRIMINAL MASTERMIND SIGNS NAME IN BANK ROBBERY NOTE

Stupid is as stupid does.  A criminal mastermind named Glenn Allan Flory, Jr. is not on his way to creating a criminal empire.  The 30-year-old from Mariana did a ham-fisted job of robbing a Bentleyville bank.  And by ham-fisted I mean he signed his name at the bank.  Yes, Mr. Flory signed his name on the bank note he passed to the teller demanding money in the bank robbery.  Who signs their name in a bank robbery?  But it’s not his first brush with the law. It’s also not his first time guaranteeing his capture.  Pennsylvania used to have a better quality of criminal.

POLICE CHARGE IDIOT WITH MULTIPLE CRIMINAL COUNTS

Police Chief Richard Young charged Flory with two counts of robbery.  But the charges also include two counts of reckless endangerment and a count of terroristic threats, harassment and, finally, theft.  All the charges relate to his robbing the CFS bank branch on March 15th.  According to reports, Flory went into the bank and approached a teller.  He asked her for a deposit slip.  So far, no problem.  But then he wrote a message on the slip with a demand, “Just give me the money and nothing else will happen.”  But then he signed his own name to the note!  Flory then fled the scene with over $1,300.

SOMEHOW, POLICE IDENTIFIED SUSPECT, ARREST HIM FOUR HOURS LATER

Obviously, police were able to identify this mastermind using his signature.  A mastermind who signs his name doing a crime is guaranteeing capture.  Police also had video surveillance to wrap the arrest up nice and tight.  Police then tracked Flory down at the Racetrack Road area of North Strabane Township.  North Strabane Township police took him into custody about four hours after he robbed the bank.  The arrest took place in a parking garage at the Meadows Casino.  Police also took a man and woman who were with Flory into custody.  But they later released them when police determined they had no connection to the robbery.

IDIOT ARRESTED FOR BURGLARY JUST A MONTH BEFORE

Obviously, Flory confessed to the robbery.  But police had charged him with burglary only the month before!  Flory had broken into his former job by using his own key to the business and stole money from the safe.  So far, Flory’s learning curve is going in the wrong direction.  Stupid is as stupid does, and does again.
