CRAZY ARKANSAS COP EXERTS AUTHORITY, FLIPS PREGNANT WOMAN’S CAR OVER FOR TRAFFIC STOP

So first off, yes, there is a lawsuit.  Because all you have to do is read the title above and say, WTF?  Secondly, no, the woman didn’t do anything wrong besides going over the speed limit, a minor traffic infraction.  But Arkansas cop Rodney Dunn has himself some authority issues.  As in, he can’t have enough authority over victimizing the people he’s supposedly sworn to protect.  Like, a pregnant woman driving her car on the road.  We don’t know why he escalated the situation.  But we do know that he rammed her car, causing it to flip over with the pregnant driver inside.

COP RODNEY DUNN WAITED ALL OF 2 MINUTES TO ENGAGE IN DANGEROUS MANEUVER

The pregnant driver’s name is Nicole Harper.  She was driving 84 mph in a 70 mph speed zone.  So yes, she was speeding.  This happened at night, on a highway just outside of Jacksonville.  The cop, State Trooper Rodney Dunn, put his flasher on to pull Harper over.  But it was night, and there was only a small shoulder at the side.  So she reduced speed to 60 mph and continued on, looking for a safer place to pull over.  And yes, she put on her hazards.  But this choice didn’t sit well with Dunn’s authority issues.  Or, I should say, the authority issues of the entire state police force.  Because only 2 minutes later, he rammed her car at 60 miles per hour and caused it to flip over.

PREGNANT WOMAN SLOWED, PUT ON HAZARDS TO FIND SAFE PLACE TO STOP, AND COP FLIPS HER

So was she fleeing from police?  No.  She slowed down, put her hazards on, and looked for a safer place at night to pull over at the side of the highway.  Because that’s what you should do, to protect yourself as well as the cop pulling you over.  You know, on a highway with no room on the side?  So this ramming the Dunn did on Harper’s car was the PIT maneuver, or the pursuit intervention technique.  It’s what police use to end a police chase, and to protect the public from danger.  But this wasn’t a police chase.  It was a traffic stop Harper delayed for safety reasons, and she did everything right.  Well, except for bruising Dunn’s authority complex.

Now that the dashcam footage of the incident is out, Harper issuing.  And she should.  As Dunn technically followed his options with police procedures, he’s still on the job, and his superiors are defending his actions.  SMDH.
