COLIN KAPERNICK IS GETTING AN INDEPENDENT AUTOPSY DONE TO FIND OUT HOW TREY REED REALLY DIED
I’ve hesitated somewhat in writing about the mysterious death of Demartravion “Trey” Reed. Depending on your news sources, you may only remember the name is passing, that he was a young black man who committed suicide just a couple weeks after starting college in Mississippi. But you may instead remember the name with a different context: no one but local officials thinks that this young man killed himself, by hanging, from a tree, in Mississippi. Personally, I have some deep suspicions about what really happened. And it seems Colin Kaepernick feels the same way, as he is paying to have a totally independent autopsy done to get some real answers.
THE REED FAMILY WAS INITIALLY TOLD THEIR SON WAS FOUND DEAD IN HIS DORM ROOM
And besides the obvious reasons to question the local authorities’ declaration of suicide, Trey Reed was really excited to start his freshman year in college, and was enthusiastic about his future. But then there’s how Reed’s family was given conflicting reports about his death, and they want answers both from Delta State University as well as the coroner’s office. First the family was told that Trey was found dead in his dorm room, only later to discover that he was found hanging from a tree on campus, from the media. If that sounds suspicious, that’s because it is. The NAACP has already stated that it believes Trey Reed was… lynched.

EARLY REPORTS SAID TREY REED HAD MULTIPLE BROKEN BONES, AUTHORITIES NOW DENY
And then there’s the early reports (and remember, he was found dead 6 days ago on September 16th) that said Trey Reed had multiple broken bones. Local authorities now say that’s not the case, and that there’s no evidence whatsoever that foul play was involved. But even the least jaded at this point have to wonder what the truth is, and it increasingly seems like it was a hate crime murder from yesteryear. But with the local officials saying it was just a suicide, real answers will have to come from somewhere else. So I’m grateful that Colin Kaepernick has stepped up by arranging an independent autopsy, which will surely offer facts that are still hidden.
