Korean Scientists Invent Tattoos That Instantly Detect Spiked Drinks

KOREAN SCIENTISTS INVENT TEMPORARY TATTOOS THAT DETECT SPIKED DRINKS IN ONE SECOND

More cool inventions like this, please.  I just learned that Korean scientists have come up with something not just new, but groundbreaking.  We’re talking about temporary tattoos that will instantly detect if you’ve consumed a spiked drink.  That’s, well, amazing.  Because when this gets to market, anyone who wants to make sure that they know what’s happening before, say, a date rape drug they’ve just had in a cocktail hits, will actually know before it’s too late.  Usually, the date rape drug is used on unsuspecting or already inebriated women.  It’s scary and a constant threat for any woman of any age having fun out and about.

SPIKED DRINKS ARE A CONCERN NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE OR WHERE YOU GO OUT

But as a heterosexual man, I’ve got to include that I’ve been hit with spiked drinks not once, but twice.  These temporary tattoos would have come in mighty handy.  The first time I was out with a buddy, we met two seemingly nice young ladies, and thought we were having fun.  Right up until we realized the two drinks we had felt like 8, and we took a hike out of there.  I got my friend home, and realized I couldn’t walk it off (I could barely focus or walk) and took a taxi home.  Both of us did a LOT of praying to the porcelain god that night and were wrecks.  The second time I got dosed along with my then girlfriend at another couple’s barbecue.  We felt something was wrong and left, with more awful bathroom praying.

A ONE SECOND SPIKED DRINK TATTOO TEST COULD LITERALLY PROTECT EVERYONE

A few years later I was out with yet another girlfriend (and now wife) at a bar with a lot of friends and she got dosed.  We didn’t know what was wrong until we were almost back at my place, and I was almost carrying her.  It was a long, awful night for her.  But these temporary tattoos would have been able to detect the spiked drink in just a single second.  All you have to do is dip your finger in your libation, touch said finger to the tattoo, and voila.  If it turns red, it’s spiked and you know not to have another drop.  And that red signal stays visible for 30 days in case you need it for evidence, too!

All in all, pretty damn cool.  If this gets widely used, a lot of people will be protected from rohypnol, GHB, ketamine and hopefully from whatever could have happened.  These temporary tattoos could hit the market soon, so keep an eye out.  You can read more from the Korean scientists report here.
