English Fox Gets Very Comfortable in Local Library

ENGLISH FOX GETS VERY COMFORTABLE IN LOCAL LIBRARY UNTIL THE PASKY HUMANS CAME BACK

I love libraries.  The smell of old and new books all by themselves is relaxing.  And older libraries often have amazing quiet little nooks to hide away and read.  Well, opportunistic undergrads may also have something to say about remote stacks.  But anyway, many libraries are great places to hang out and get comfortable with a book.  Yet I never thought I’d see the day when a fox would sneak into a local library and get nice and comfortable in a reading chair.  But that’s exactly what happened at Twickenham’s Richmond Library in England.  As you can see pictured above, this fox was on the hunt for some nice solitude and found it.

TWICKENHAM LIBRARY HAD TO SHUT DOWN FOR STAFF TO CONVINCE FOX TO PISS OFF

Well, until the library opened, that is.  And I must say, the look the fox is giving the picture taker is none too pleased to have its comfortable rest interrupted by pesky humans.  But the library had to temporarily close as staff relocated the fox out of the library.  Yet evidently the English fox has been an adventurous breed.  Back in 2011, a fox was found living at the top of London’s tallest building, The Shard, as it was being constructed.  He even had a name from staff, Romeo, and survived eating the scraps left by builders finishing the building.

ENGLISH FOX IS YET ANOTHER FUNNY, RANDOM ANIMAL BREAKING INTO A LIBRARY STORY

But this fox is just the latest sample of wild animals breaking into libraries.  England has also had owls in the library at the University of Bath, a New Jersey library had a family of raccoons needing rescue, a hawk got into America’s Library of Congress itself, Duke had escaped lemurs eating fruit salad in a library, and lastly (for now) the University of Utah even had a moose break into a library.  I can only imagine that last being quite the chaotic scene.  And, lastly, Americans might wonder why this English fox looks a bit different.  Now we know why the character from the Fantastic Mr. Fox looked so different!
