Trump EPA Just Approved Toxic Chemicals For Unwanted Data Centers

THE TRUMP EPA JUST APPROVED NEW, TRULY TOXIC CHEMICALS FOR DATA CENTERS

Nobody wants data centers near where they live.  They don’t want their local municipalities giving them tax breaks that will cost locals more, or wrecking their already fragile grids while jumping electricity costs by 3-6% every year (at least) and they don’t want the pollution that goes hand in hand with data centers.  Already, we know that cooling additives, heavy metal runoff and concentrated mineral discharge from evaporative cooling towers are poisoning local water supplies.  But that last is about to get a lot worse.  How much worse?  Well, considering how the Trump EPA just approved even more toxic chemicals is how much worse.

WE DON’T KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT THE CHEMICALS BECAUSE OF EPA REDACTIONS

And with all things Trump, this means this is just the first of many more legal public poisoning of Americans to come.  So far, the EPA has approved two toxic poisons, photoacid generators that also seem to be Pfas,  Pfas should sound familiar to you, because they’re “forever chemicals,” the kind that stay in the environment and your bodies, forever.  These newly FDA approved chemicals can cause cancer, neurological damage, reproductive harm as well as sudden death.  But it’s worth noting that we’re not completely sure about the Pfas.  Why?  Because so much of the EPA’s documents about these chemicals are…. redacted.

EPA ADMITS IT APPROVED TOXIC CHEMICALS WITHOUT ANY CLUE ABOUT FATAL EXPOSURE LEVELS

So that’s a bit of a problem for the health of all Americans today, and all the American children of tomorrow.  It is, in fact, stunning in its audacity, rendering the “protection” P in the EPA utterly meaningless.  You might find that to be a hard take and an overreaction.  But that’s only because you haven’t yet been advised that of the un-redacted portions of the EPA documents, the EPA freely admits that it approved these still mysterious chemicals without knowing what level of exposure to them is “acutely lethal” or can cause any other serious health damage.  That means it knows the chemicals are poisonous, has no idea what their dangerous levels are, and approved them anyway because Trump wanted the approvals fast-tracked.

Oh, let’s not forget that the EPA, even the current Trump EPA, classifies the danger from these chemicals as an “unreasonable risk.”
