THE MAD SCIENTIST RFK JR. NOW WANTS AMERICANS TO EAT MORE SATURATED FATS
Well, things keep getting more awkward with the current Health Secretary of the United States of America, RFK Jr. And no, I didn’t think he could make things more awkward. But he has. If you’ve followed any news about him, and I do mean any, you may have noticed he has a chronic tendency to ignore science. All established science, that is. Instead, he’s simply decreeing by fiat what science is. You know, regardless of what science actually is. So what is the mad scientist saying now? Oh, just that Americans should really be eating more saturated fats.

DECADES OF SCIENCE MAKE IT CLEAR THAT SATURATED FATS KILL PEOPLE EARLIER THAN NOT
Now, that may not sound like such a crazy thing to do. Except that’s a crazy thing to do. Because we’ve had literally decades of ongoing research about saturated fats, how they’re bad for us, and just how bad they are for us. But for whatever reason, RFK Jr. the mad scientist is making it his current priority to change what used to be science-based guidelines about what’s healthy for people to eat to now include “you should eat more saturated fats.” Did scientists and doctors make a sudden change in their understanding of decades of science? No. Of course not.

IF YOU LOVE THE MAD SCIENTIST, DON’T BE SURPRISED WHEN YOU DROP DEAD EARLY
Currently, but not for much longer, the guidelines say we shouldn’t eat more that 10% of our daily foods in saturated fats. But the American Heart Association says it should be even lower, at 6%. Why? Well, you should already really know this. But because too many of these fats in your diet are directly linked to heart disease, strokes, and dying younger than you otherwise would have. Now, I’m not telling you what to eat. Personally, I love eating bacon, cheeses of all kinds, fatty meats, sour cream and ice cream and all the rest. But I don’t eat those things EVERY DAY.
Why? Because if I did I would lose years of my life, leave my family destitute from medical bills, and I’D BE DEAD.
