Supporting Vaccines, But Not Thimerosal Or RKJ Jr.

I DON’T SUPPORT THIMEROSAL OR RFK, JR., BUT I DO SUPPORT VACCINES IN GENERAL

Vaccines have become an incredibly complex, controversial topic and they really don’t have to be.  I support vaccines.  Why?  Because they prevent diseases and other threats to our health.  Measles is now a deadly problem in areas of Texas because too many people abstained from the needle.  So I support getting vaccinated.  That being said, I have reservations about some vaccines.  But most especially any that contain the preservative, thimerosal.  Why?  Because it’s 99% mercury.  I don’t want that injected into my veins (and brain), or anyone else’s.  So I support vaccines.  But not thimerosal, or RFK Jr.

NEWLY APPOINTED COMMITTEE RECOMMENDS EVERYONE AVOID FLU SHOTS CONTAINING THIMEROSAL

So why are we talking about this, now?  Because a government vaccine committee with a newly appointed panel by RFK Jr. is now recommending that pregnant women, infants and children should avoid any flu vaccines that contain thimerosal.  And then they made the same recommendation for adults, too.  And yet this is controversial, mostly because of RFK Jr. and the fact that he’s clearly nuts.  So while I believe in the science of vaccines, I have some topical issues with special interests.  But especially with whatever special interests have been propping up the use of thimerosal as an anti-fungal preservative.

IF THIMEROSAL IS TOTALLY SAFE, WHY DO WE BARELY USE IT ANYMORE, AND WHY IS THIS CONTROVERSIAL?

A lot of people will reflexively call my opinion disconnected, farfetched, even conspiracy laden.  But there’s clearly something about thimerosal that involves special interests, whether they be business or political.  You might be surprised to learn that only 4% of flu vaccines in America contain thimerosal.  It used to be more…. And thimerosal in the last 15 years has been removed from a host of vaccines, renamed and used again, and finally simply back to much less degree under its own name.  And yet it’s now controversial and anti-science to follow Europe (finally) which out of totally non-science based caution doesn’t inject people with vaccines that contain 99% mercury, or thimerosal.

But yes, science says thimerosal is “safe,” and it’s fine to inject mercury directly into people’s veins, including pregnant women and their unborn children.  Oddly, science also says that pregnant women shouldn’t eat fish.  Why?  Because fish contains trace amounts of mercury
