THE TRUMP PROGRAM KILLING ALLEGED DRUG DEALERS IN THE CARIBBEAN MUCH WORSE THAN WE THOUGHT
Well, it seems that the Trump program of killing assumed/allegedly-guilty-from a distance drug dealers in the Caribbean is worse than we thought. And if you are like me in terms of obvious legal thought, this is an extremely low bar we’re talking about here. But I will say that I didn’t think we’d get an inkling about this being as bad as it is quite so soon. Yet Democratic Rep. Seth Moulton just appeared on MSNBC and said that he went to a briefing with the Arms Services Committee on the program, and that the justification for it was so bad, it made “the case for the the Iraq War look like a slam dunk.” Ah, well. That’s not a low bar; it’s digging a trench for moral turpitude.
TRUMP ADMIN PULLED THEIR LAWYERS FROM BRIEFING EXPLAINING LEGAL JUSTIFICATION
Moral turpitude in this case meaning multiple criminal laws being broken as official American (Trump) policy. But to be fair, none of us were at this briefing and can only take Rep. Moulton’s word for it. Yet the briefing was given so that attendees could be given an official understanding of the legal justifications to kill people on the high seas with no evidence, investigations or due process. Fortunately, Trump lawyers were scheduled to be there to lay all of this out in detail. NOT. Because the Trump administration pulled their lawyers from the meeting, and they didn’t attend.

HIGHLY LIKELY THIS TRUMP PROGRAM WILL SEND MANY TO JAIL IN YEARS TO COME
That’s not good. That’s really, really not good. But now it’s more than relevant to remember how Admiral Alvin Holsey, the Head of US Southern Command, retired after 37 years of service and only one year into his tenure running US Southern Command. And yes, the Trump program killing alleged drug dealers in the Caribbean was under his watch. So why did this career military man suddenly leave his senior post? Many have passively wondered. But it’s pretty likely at this point that Holsey didn’t want his name and reputation tainted with the crime of multiple murders.
That’s where we are. Kudos to Rep. Moulton for letting us know now. This will be a story that leads to multiple criminal indictments of US government officials in the years to come.
