Woman Who Flipped Off Trump Fired From Her Job, Still Evicted

BRISKMAN FLIPPED OFF TRUMP, A BIRD IN THE HAND IS WORTH A PINK SLIP

This is a sad follow up to the story of the woman cyclist who flipped off Trump and his motorcade a few weeks ago.  Juli Briskman is an employee of a government contractor, Akima LLC, whose photo flipping the bird to Trump’s motorcade went viral and created a sensation online, including here at The Blot.  Unfortunately after the photo went viral Briskman went to her company’s HR department and admitted she was the woman pictured.  She was fired later the same day for “violating the company’s social media policy.”  There appears to be a double standard at Akima LLC with her firing.

COMPANY DOESN’T FIRE MALE EMPLOYEE FOR ATTACKING DEMOCRATS ON SOCIAL MEDIA

One obvious issue for Briskman is that she added the photo to her personal Twitter header and so used it on the social media platform to identify herself as the person who flipped off trump.  But nowhere on her Twitter feed  does Briskman identify herself as an employee of Akima LLC, nor does she reference the company in any way.  The same cannot be said for another male employee who had previously a reference to “a f-king Libtard a-hole” and only suffered the consequence of receiving a reprimand, after he removed the post.  To make matters more clearly a double standard, the male employee does indeed list his employment at Akima LLC on his social media accounts.

STRONG WRONGFUL TERMINATION SUIT COULD FOLLOW FOR GOV’T CONTRACTOR

So the question that may move forward for Akima LLC is, does their double standard apply to male versus female employee conduct?  Or does it apply to manager seniority at the company?  Or is it OK to post (potentially) offensive sentiments if you are a Trump supporter?  Or is it as simple as party affiliation?  For Briskman’s situation, she had no control whatsoever over being photographed, and certainly not over how it was instantly and popularly notorious online.  But the brazen double standard at play just might provide Briskman with a lawsuit against the company for wrongful termination.  We will see if that’s something she wishes to pursue in the coming weeks.
