I felt just awful. Tired from my day. Drained from the muggy weather in this heat wave. Brain wired with everything I had to do. And bloody Hell, I forgot to buy a bottle of wine on my way home from another monotonous day at work! So I blame my brain’s misery on all the sitting summer garbage. So man, I really needed that bottle. That cool, refreshing libation. That liquid courage to sip as I prepared to go down the rabbit hole of TikTok happy-dumb videos. But stupidly, I didn’t stock up and I didn’t stop by the local liquor store for a cheap bottle of red. So I sifted through my packed kitchen closet to find a tiny bottle of hotel refrigerator vodka. Hmmm. It’s not wine, but in this weather it’ll do!

THIS EASY LIBATION TASTES LIKE SUMMER IN A BUBBLE AQUARIUM, WHICH MEANS TOTALLY AMAZING
So what should we make? I love Stewart’s Dark Cherry soda. It tastes like summer in a bubble aquarium. So here’s the recipe. You’re welcome!
1 bottle of Stewart’s Dark Cherry soda
1 little bottle of whatever you can find (vodka!) in your house that has alcohol
Then 1 fancy glass or a mug or a bowl (depending on how crazy your week is or if you still live like you’re in college)
Pour one and then the other. Shaved ice is an option here, as is a slice of lemon from your fridge. Best served cold!
