I must be even older than I thought. Did you know that people actually get motion sickness from playing video games? I’m shocked. But I feel like I shouldn’t even be surprised. People everywhere and in every age group play video games these days. And man, are there a lot of amazing video games out there for us to play. But evidently even iron-stomached gamers are feeling the heaves when they play Katamari Damacy Reroll. So sure, anyone can get motion sickness. Almost anyone can find out the hard way while in a car, plane or boat. And now we can all read a book and barf if we’re unlucky.

But we also have the ever more popular VR which allows us to watch movies or…play video games pretty much anywhere. And, sure, motion sickness happens to us all even easier when we get older. No, really, it’s a thing. Just wait till you’re 40. Or even earlier! But each of us will just have to figure out what it is that hits us. Which games make us wanna barf? Or which version of the game? But what about platform? Every video game player will have their own sensitivities. So you’ll just have to figure out what does and doesn’t work for you. The telltale sign is a quick headache and queasiness.

So if this happens to you, what should you do? Obviously, you can give the game a break. But let’s be real, there’s a rhythm to playing video games and decompressing.
