CIRCUS BEAR ATTACKS HANDLER, WAS THE BEAR TORTURED AND ABUSED?
Going to the circus is almost always a good time, especially for children. I certainly remember my first few visits to the circus. There was always so much to look at, so much noise and music. As a kid, you just don’t know where to look, especially if it’s a 3-ring circus. You just don’t want to miss anything! But I never saw an accident or anything else scary when I went to the circus. But in Volograd, Russia, kids saw something truly scary. They were watching a show with a bear and his handler/trainer. But things took a scary turn when the bear got really angry and attacked the man. What was the cause? Had someone tortured and abused the bear?
AUDIO RECORDING CAPTURED SOUNDS OF ATTACK AND HORRIFIED CHILDREN
One spectator was recording audio and the recording captured the sounds of the angry bear and the horrified reactions of the crowd. The bear was about to start doing it’s skateboarding routine in the show. The handler gave the specific commands to begin and the bear refused. Before anyone knew what was happening, the bear attacked the man. In the recording, you can hear the cries of the children as they saw the attack. How sad it that? Dancing bears and Russia are like apple pie and America. Russian kids should never be scared by a bear at the circus.

FURIOUS BEAR HAD TO BE BEATEN OFF, HANDLER SURVIVES IN MIRACLE
Fortunately, another circus staffer was on hand to render assistance to the bear handler. As soon as he saw the attack, he quickly came to help, beating the bear away with a large wooden stick. But the bear only got even angrier and held on to the handler! But eventually the handler managed to get free . Somehow, the handler only suffered fairly minor injuries, considering how easily the bear could have killed him. So far we don’t know much more. Was the bear abused and tortured in its training? Had something changed? Hopefully, whatever it was won’t happen again. Circus animals going berserk
is an awful thing for everyone involved, especially the animals.
