TEN KIDS IN MINIVAN, DRIVEN TO MOMENTS OF MADNESS
Many of us have been there. And we have thought of just walking away from the madness that children can be at times. Just stop everything and walk away when they are driving you mad. Maybe even get a cocktail at a local restaurant or grab a crate of ice cream and rejoice for the freedom you may have once had to never ever have again. But most of the time you just don’t do it. You may dream it. But you don’t actually do it. Because you are the adult and they are the children. And children can make you go bonkers. Logical, right? What about ten kids in a minivan?
MOM RAN OUT OF GAS, ABANDONED KIDS
Well, meet the Maryland mom who was charged last week with nine counts of child neglect and nine counts of nine counts of leaving children unattended after basically abandoning all of her ten children. She allegedly got into a heated argument with her son and kicked him out of the van and onto the Interstate 495 in Greenbelt. She continued to drive towards her mother’s house until she ran out of gas. Instead of looking for help, they slept in the car despite the temperatures dropping significantly into the 20s for two days. After which, she abandoned her mini-van filled with her nine other children ages one to ten.

The twelve-year-old managed to reach relatives to help him. The other nine children who were abandoned in minivan, walked over to a neighboring restaurant where staff helped to get them fed and cleaned up. The mother was later found wandering and under the influence of drugs. The children said their mother was acting strangely. Could it be that this mother of a million children needed just a tiny bit of respite? All children are currently with relatives and the mother is seeking to regain custody of her children.
