TEENY TINY POCKET WAS USED FOR…
Ever notice that teeny tiny pocket on your jeans or cords? It’s pretty small, right? So what the heck can you put in that teeny pocket? Maybe a thought. A small thought. But an important and small thought! It’s really way too small to have much of a purpose today. But back in the day, designers dedicated it for a pocket watch. Archives (from 1879) includes the watch pocket.” Levis Strauss, the man and they myth, kept his pocket watch in the vest of his business suit versus his pants. But the pants worked for other people. We call these a five-pocket pant. The “19th century overalls had a single back pocket on the right side of the pant beneath the leather patch, it was riveted in the top two corners and included our recognizable arch design, called the Arcuate stitched with a single needle sewing machine.”

No one wears a pocket watch nowadays. And phones are still too big for that teeny tiny pocket. It’s still there to keep the integrity of the original design. You may now recognize that other pants also have the teeny pocket. Some yoga pants have that wee pocket, some people use it for a key to my locker or a few coins. Most people just ignore the pocket nowadays. I always thought it was condom sized. Or a metrosexual utility before we even knew?
