Skincare, especially for your face, is intimidating to most people even though it’s necessary.  Most people who grow beards do so for many reasons:  Movember, an ugly face, they’re lazy, a lover likes beards or, lastly, they want to hide underneath a shield of hair.  Regardless, moisturizer is important to keep skin from cracking or flaking. Most pharmacies and Walmart carry moisturizer.  Larger department stores will also carry face moisturizers but they may be pricier.

BEARD OIL IS GREAT

Beard maintenance is also important.  The beard needs to be healthy.  Target and your barber are great places to receive tips for skincare and haircare.  To tackle 1.5 on the clipper scale means you should invest in better products.  Beard oil or cream should be applied weekly if not daily, in order maintain shine and polish.  A good oil every evening is recommended.

DON’T FORGET TO EXFOLIATE YOUR SKIN

Exfoliation is very important, especially if you want to avoid flaky skin and ingrown hairs.  It’s important to exfoliate three times a week.  If you grow larger beards, make sure to trim around the neck in order to prevent ingrown hairs.  To tackle skincare for beards is imperative for a healthy and fun glow.
