Man Enters Empty House to Smoke Up, Finds Caged Tiger

STONER FINDS EMPTY HOUSE TO BLAZE IN, FINDS SCARY CAGED TIGER INSTEAD

So you know how it is.  Smoking a blunt can be hazardous to your freedom.  Well, maybe less so now.  But we’re talking Houston, Texas here.  So if you want to get lit, you better do it in some privacy.  And that’s exactly what one man did.  He found a nice abandoned and seemingly empty house and went in to blaze.  But when he went in, he found that the house, while abandoned, wasn’t empty.  This poor guy came upon a tiger in a cage.  But it really wasn’t much of a cage and it wasn’t too secure, either.

STONER THOUGHT HE WAS HALLUCINATING, BUT CALLED 311 ANYWAY TO BE SURE

So the unidentified man called 311 to report the scary and dangerous find.  But when he called the operator, he said he was worried he might be hallucinating.  But when police responded to the scene and the house’s garage, they found the tiger in the rickety cage.  So what does rickety mean?  It means a tiny cage with the door secured only by a “screwdriver and a nylon strap.”  Sound scary?  That’s because it is.  The house with the tiger was empty.  But the neighborhood was full of people, and kids.  As you likely already know, tigers are way, way dangerous.  At least police also found “several packages of meat,” too.

TEXAS MAY HAVE MORE ILLEGAL TIGERS THAN ALL THOSE REMAINING IN THE WILD

So here are some interesting numbers.  Experts estimate that there are only 2,150-4,000 left in the wild.  But they are a hot commodity in international trade.  So what does that mean for Texas?  That’s right, there’s a reason this tiger was in Texas.  Tigers are very popular pets in Texas.  While it’s illegal to own one in Houston, the same can’t be said for the entire state.  So how popular are they there?  Authorities estimate there may be more tigers in Texas than there are in the wild.  So aren’t those interesting numbers?

But here’s one more.  How many people have registered their tiger pets in the state of Texas as of two months ago?

50. You can do the math there. If you’re in Texas, be careful where you smoke up. That shit is real.
