PRICEY, AMERICAN MADE SPY BOAT WASHES ASHORE ON REMOTE SCOTTISH ISLE
So this is more than casually odd. I had no idea, but there are unmanned spy ships sailing the high seas. But one of these automated vessels washed up on the shore of a Scottish isle recently. Its model name is the Wave Glider. It’s an American made spy boat, which isn’t too surprising. Each of them costs over $300,000 to make. So they’re not a casual investment, by any means. They look like a 10-foot-long surf board and, like you can see in the picture, with serious solar panels and several antennas. But there is a serious mystery. No one is claiming the washed up spy boat.

SPY BOATS ONLY USED BY U.S. AND BRITISH NAVIES, SO WHO WAS RUNNING IT?
So who uses these American made spy boats? Well, the US Navy, of course. And, coincidentally, the British Royal Navy. This mysterious spy boat washed ashore from their waters, after all. But, this automated vehicle didn’t belong to either. So, what the hell was it doing there. And who the hell was running it? So far, we have no idea. The Scottish isle was a tiny one, with the name Tiree. It sits on the far west side of the inner Hebrides. But why there? And, again, who was running this spy boat?

WAS IT RUSSIA, RUNNING THEIR OWN CLONE, TRACKING BRITISH NUCLEAR SUBS?
And it was definitely out on the sea collecting intelligence. It had no running lights, which is a requirement for all vessels for safety reasons. So clearly this was another party. One who should not have that boat there conducting some kind of a mission. But what mission? Intelligence officials best guess so far is that this was the Russians’ spy boat. They think they were running it there to track the movements of England’s nuclear submarines. And, it seems a good guess. It’s possible that the Russians actually made it. They made their own clone of the American model in 2017 and called it, Fugu.
Tiree, not coincidentally, is only 100 miles north west from an English naval base. Fugu, indeed.
