Smokers Beware! Cigarettes Make Coronavirus Much Worse

CORONAVIRUS WILL PUT CIGARETTE SMOKERS AT GREATER RISK OF INJURY

So here’s some more Coronavirus news.  And I should say, it’s no surprise to hear at all.  If you’re a smoker, you already know you should quit.  But now it’s an even better time to throw your cigarettes away.  Get a patch, or Nicorette.  Maybe even switch to a vape instead.  But get that smoke out of your lungs.  Because cigarettes make smokers way, way more vulnerable to Coronavirus.  Medical experts across the world are saying so.  And we should all listen.  It could mean the difference between life and death for some.  Really.

SMOKERS BEWARE, PUT DOWN YOUR CIGARETTES, AT LEAST FOR A WHILE

But at this point you should know that Coronavirus is out there, and how.  Confirmed cases is what we’re all hearing about.  But for every confirmed case, there are likely thousands of people who have already come across Coronavirus and just don’t know it yet.  So if you smoke, just stop now.  If you’re over 60 and smoke, stop smoking yesterday.  Your lungs start healing and clearing almost immediately.  But it really takes a couple weeks for your body to really start detoxing.  But impacting your lungs with cigarette smoke while fighting off this virus is not smart at all.

So here’s the deal.  Authorities worldwide are no longer trying to contain the virus.  Why?  Because it’s out, and the genie ain’t going back into the bottle.  So now it’s all about containment.  That means trying to minimize the number of people who catch Coronavirus.  But cigarettes cause weaker immune systems for smokers.  And older people are vulnerable, as are people with health conditions.  And the Coronavirus can survive on, say, a handrail or doorknob for up to 3 days.  So it’s likely already near you, one way or the other.  So if you smoke, find an alternative way to ingest nicotine.  The alternative is truly scary, even if you’re young.
