So I’m all for people having different opinions, but really. Here is yet another story coming from Italy that you would think was coming from a Red State in the United States. Or, maybe, just a red County where Fox News and Newsmax dominate media consumption. But like consumption, real fake news can make people sick in the head. And an anti-vaxxer Italian man has made headlines with his attempt to cheat his way to public access by trying to get his Covid vaccine in his silicone, fake arm. No, this isn’t a Dilbert cartoon. Not yet, anyway.

SILICONE FAKE ARM WEARING ITALIAN MAN WANTED TO AVOID BAN FOR PUBLIC ACCESS IN ITALY
So what’s going on, here? Well, Italy recently announced that unvaccinated Italians won’t be allowed to do a host of normal things in public. You know, like eating out at a restaurant, having a beer (or espresso) at the local bar, or take any form of public transportation? Well, some folks over there don’t want to stop doing those things. But they don’t want to get the vaccine even more. So what’s a person in denial to do? Forgeries are getting harder without bribing some health or public official. And that’s risky too. So how about wearing a fake arm and trying to get your vaccine in that instead? Brilliant, right?

HEALTH WORKER WASN’T FOOLED BY SILICONE FAKE ARM, ANTI-VAXXER MAN NOW FACES CHARGES
Except, not so much. For one, the fake arm is made out of silicone. Sure, some people have some rubbery skin. But… the health worker got pretty suspicious pretty much instantly. As soon as the anti-vaxxer Italian man rolled up his sleeve, the worker realized two things pretty quickly. So one, the fake arm wasn’t the same color as the rest of his arm. And two, it had no veins! Not even the fake painted ones! The fake arm man tried to get the health worker to ignore the situation. But no dice. He now faces charges of fraud, at a minimum.
So now, let’s all take a deep breath, as Italy is Trumping Florida for this kind of news.
