But this time, we’re hearing about 31 years, living as a sex slave? Because that’s what happened to a woman in Maracay, Venezuela. And who was the disgusting criminal here? Allegedly, a man with the name Matias Salazar. He held her in an apartment across the street from his home for 31 years. He used her as a sex slave. But then the escaped to tell the tale.

MONSTER LIVED ACROSS THE STREET WITH GIRLFRIEND AND DAUGHTER, WHILE VICTIM LANGUISHED 31 YEARS
So like most of these horror living in hell stories, this one only gets creepier and more disturbing. Salazar didn’t just live across the street from his sex slave prisoner. The56-year-old lived across the street with his girlfriend and daughter. That’s right, this monster lived a nice, normal family life. No one knew he was the worst kind of monster. Until now. We still don’t know the details of the 49-year-old victim’s escape. Only that she somehow finally managed to. So yes, the math is simple. She became a sex slave when she was 18 years old. All the way back in 1989.

So authorities are, of course, holding Salazar for sexual assault. Prosecutors released a statement, including, “The perpetrator manipulated and deceived [the victim] so that she would leave her home three decades ago.” That’s just insane to think about! The now former sex slave managed her daring escape on January 24th. She then went straight to a Venezuela state-run women’s support center. But according to clueless neighbors, she did return, if briefly, to her old prison apartment. With prosecutors. But some of the neighbors are also embarrassed. Evidently, they had no idea Salazar was the worst kind of monster. They only saw him as a polite man.
