THE SCREWWORM IS NOW OFFICIALLY BACK IN AMERICA, WHICH MEANS WE’RE SCREWED
Well, this is a bit nightmarish. I remember hearing some concerns last year about this little thing called the screwworm. If you don’t immediately know what that is, here you go: it’s a parasitic fly the larvae (yes, maggots) of which enjoy eating living flesh just fine. And yes, humans can get a screwworm infection. What does that mean? It means maggots literally eating their way through your body, even going for organs and possibly even killing you if you don’t get help. Also yes, this is disgusting and why I called it nightmarish. So why am I talking about it? Because the screwworm is now back in America, officially. And yes, that means we’re all kinds of screwed.

WHY IS THE SCREWWORM BACK? TRUMP, MUSK, AND A WHOLE LOT OF STUPIDITY
So why are we screwed? Aside from the fact that we now have the official return of maggots that can eat living humans from their insides? Well, it was completely, utterly, totally preventable. In fact, we had been successfully preventing the screwworm from our shores since 1966, when Lyndon B. Johnson was POTUS. That’s because we eradicated them here in America, and took precautions to make sure they never came back. So what changed? In two words, the Trump Administration. Namely, the utter tool Elon Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency.

MUSK AND TRUMP CUT FUNDING TO MONITOR SCREWWORMS, KILL SCREWWORMS, AND USAID IS “WOKE”
Last year, these clownish efficionados cut the funding for a project that was dedicated to monitoring and containing New World screwworm appearances in Central America. But more, they also ended the sterile fly program both in Mexico and Central America last year. I guess those idiots figured they were just screwing Mexicans and Central Americans. But now, Americans are screwed. And even more, the Trump Admin also ended the suspension of cattle imports from…. Mexico. AND allowed them to cross the border into the US without any of the monitoring that used to be funded by the US Agency of International Development. You might know it better by it’s “woke” acronym, USAID.
I mean, it’s not like any agriculture officials or any cattle industry leaders said this was a bad idea. Oh, wait, they totally did. And the response? Trump Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins telling anyone watching Fox News the Trump Admin totally had a plan to prevent our getting screwed by screwworms in America:
