SCIENTISTS ARE NOW SUDDENLY SAYING THAT CHICKEN MEAT WILL RUSH YOU TO YOUR GRAVE?
I’m not a big chicken eater, which really means I don’t eat any chicken, anytime, because I’m allergic. That’s never been much of a problem, except how it’s the most common meat at any buffet and almost everyone loves it. Well, and when I smell fried chicken. It would be nice to have that once and not die. But speaking of dying, it seems that chicken isn’t quite the white hat meat we’ve all assumed it is. Because, now, scientists have added it to the already too long list of delectable meats that will rush you to the grave. But boiled chicken dieters may still be safe. Maybe.

NEW STUDY TRACKING PEOPLE FOR 19 YEARS FOUND CHICKEN DIET UPPED RISK OF DEATH
We know eating fish saddles you with mercury, and both beef and pork clog up the internal works. Bacon is even worse, tofu messes with your endocrinal system, and now chicken does…. what, exactly? That we don’t know yet. But a recently published study in Nutrients details how Italian scientists followed the life patterns of 4,800 middle-aged adults for 19 years. And stunningly, those in the study who ate over 300 grams of chicken a week had a 27% higher mortality rate than people like me. And of those adults who were men, the mortality rate jumped to 61%!

THE JURY ON CHICKEN MEAT COULD STILL BE OUT, BUT IT’S TROUBLING NEWS FOR CASUAL FOODIES
But don’t fret that your chicken meat eating life is suddenly over (like you’d stop). Because we still don’t know how the consumed chicken that rushed these people to the grave was cooked. Was it fried in vegetable oil? Bad. Or was it cooked (and not fried) with avocado or coconut oil? Good. Well, maybe good. We just don’t know yet. But I can’t help noting that I’m not sure what the likelihood is that a group of Italians eating chicken over 19 years were cooking with vegetable oil. Really?
So if you like eating chicken, you might want to know more, when the scientists figure this out more than they already have.
