Reasons Why You Need to Satisfy Intense Food Cravings

THE HUMAN BODY HAS INTENSE CRAVINGS

People have cravings for many things.  Some people have cravings for donuts, while others may crave broccoli. The human body may seem strange when thinking about the things that people crave.  Cravings may begin as a tiny feeling and soon grow into an intense need to satisfy that feeling. It can nag intensely for a while.  The attempt to sometimes suppress cravings can backfire, creating a beast within the mind wanting to find its way out and ravage the want. Some experts suggest ridding a craving by actually indulging in it.  But the reason for certain cravings are good to understand, in order for you to address a dietary problem.

WHY SATISFY A BURGER CRAVING?

When craving a burger, it may mean a lack of something in your system.  Red meat has iron, protein and zinc.  Many women in the United States have an iron and zinc deficiency.  After a woman’s menstruation, they often lack iron levels needed for sufficient blood health. If someone craves a burger it means that they require proteins and possibly carbs.  Make sure to pair your burger with a side of vegetables in order to satisfy intense cravings like this.

CANDY IS A COMMON CRAVING

Many people have cravings for candy.  If this is the case, perhaps blood sugar is an issue.  Or you have yeast overgrowth.  If it’s the latter, you are better off finding a healthy substitute, one without processed sugar or carbs.  If it’s a blood sugar issue, you may require the quickest energy, which would be straight up sugar.  But, you need to understand that a quick fix will only fix the intense craving ever so briefly.  It may not really satisfy it.  You will need a proper source of sugar in order to authentically aid in cravings like this.

CHEESE MEANS YOU NEED FATS

If you crave cheese, you may not be taking in enough fats.  Cheese is a fatty food and often satisfies many people.  Choose a cheese which has been processed less as it will be more wholesome. Cheese also has many important vitamins, such as vitamin D.  You may crave more cheese in the winter months.

KNOWLEDGE IS THE FIRST STEP

These three cravings can be very intense.  However, knowledge as to why this is happening to you may help you pause and reflect on what you need to start adding to your died in order to satisfy these needs.  But like everything, it takes balance.
