Road Rage, Man Clings to Hood Doing 70 MPH

AFTER FENDER BENDER, ROAD RAGE LEADS TO MAN CLINGING TO CAR HOOD ON HIGHWAY

Road rage incidents are usually pretty tawdry and stupid affairs.  Even parking rage gets people all riled up.  Just ask Alec Baldwin.  But this time, a road rage incident gave people a spectacle they never thought they’d see in their lives.  And that would be a 65-year-old man clinging to the hood of a car going as fast as 70 miles per hour.  This happened!  There’s video shot by shocked travelers on the Massachusetts Turnpike.  I haven’t ever seen anything like this on a highway myself.  Well, not outside of television, anyway.

ONE MAN LEFT THE ACCIDENT SCENE, SO OTHER MAN LEAPT ONTO HIS HOOP

So what the hell happened?  And how did this fairly gentrified man get stuck clinging onto a car’s hood for dear life?  Well, the man on the hood was Richard Kamrowski.  So the driver of the car was 37-year-old Mark Fitzgerald.  The two had a little bit of a sideswipe last weekend.  So they pulled over to share their info.  But that’s normal.  But then the two started arguing and Fitzgerald got in his car and drove away.  So that’s still sort of normal.  But normal ended when Kamrowski jumped on the hood of the departing car.

So accordong to Kamrowski, “I thought he was going to run over me and I don’t know I don’t think he stopped he just kept going fast then slow, fast then slow trying to get me to slide off and I wasn’t getting off the car.”  Well, stupid is as stupid does.  But this time without a box of chocolates.  So how did this epic and dangerous stupidity end?  Other drivers on the road got involved.  One of them had a gun and was able to convince Fitzgerald to stop his car.  Masshole State Police arrested both driver and Klingon.  The driver to becharged with assault with a deadly weapon, negligent driving and leaving the scene of an accident.

And the Klingon?  Kamrowski is looking as disorderly conduct.
